Job description: We are looking for Homelessness Mental Health Recovery Workers for a fantastic opportunity to join a Supported Accommodation Service in Paddington, London.

Temporary pay rate: £11ph


Hours and length of contract:
*37.5 hours per week
*Shift pattern of: 2 earlies 8am - 4pm, 2 lates 3pm - 11pm, and then 2 days off.
*The manager is looking for the positions to be filled ASAP, with an initial 4 month contract length and likelihood of extension.

Daily Duties:

The scheme supports homeless people from the age of 22 who suffer from mental health issues. The service occupies beds for 30 men for a maximum stay of 2 years with the aim of helping to get the service users back on their feet.

The role will involve supporting clients in their recovery journey, assessing their care and support needs and promoting joint working with the homelessness team. You will also help to support actions to maintain accommodation including support with benefits and move on plans once service users are resettled.

You will also ensure that service users are supported in volunteering, education, training and employment opportunities both in the service and externally.

Person specification:

It is essential that candidates have NVQ Level 2 in Social Care qualification or equivalent and experience of working in similar setting and have an understanding of Mental Health support.
