Job description: Housing Assistant, Cambridgeshire
A large housing association are recruiting for a Housing Assistant to join their team in March (Cambridgeshire) to provide administration support to the Neighbourhood Officer and Housing Services Manager.

The Role
The focus of this role is to provide a prompt, seamless support service to customers as part of the operational team and act as the first local point of contact and dealing with customer enquires taking ownership to ensure a resolution based approach to the query. You will also be expected to:
-Produce routine letters, reports and other documents from standard templates
-Provide a high quality service to all residents as part of the Housing team, providing administrative support to team and wider colleagues.
-Provide a prompt, seamless support service to customers as part of the operational team
-Ensure all records relevant to the role, whether computerised or manual, are accurate and up to date
-Collaborate with internal colleagues and teams and external agencies to ensure prompt, customer focused turnaround of vacant properties and mutual exchange applications
-Maintain garage tenancy records, process lettings and terminations maximising income collection and liaising with colleagues on inspections
-Collate and present data relating to performance and other housing management functions as directed by Neighbourhood Officer or Housing Services Manager

The Candidate
To be a success in the role, it is essential that you have previous experience in a housing-related, customer service environment and a demonstrable commitment to delivering excellent customer service, and you must have the following:
-Good numeracy, literacy and communication (written and verbal) skills
-Good level of IT proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and Outlook)
-Ability to prioritise workload
-Personal effectiveness ability to write clear, accurate and concise records with the ability to analyse data from a variety of sources
-Able to identify own development needs and seeks out opportunities to improve the service

The Contract
This is a three-month contract with a good chance of extension and the role is full-time, working 36 hours per week.
