Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a Housing Association in South London who are seeking a Housing Litigation Lawyer to join their team on a contract basis. Please find below further details about the role and the assignment.
ROLE: Housing Litigation Lawyer
LOCATION: South London
RATE: £30.00 to £40.00 per hour
CONTRACT: 3 months (potentially ongoing), 36 hours per week
Please note that this role would be a hybrid working position.
The Role
- To manage a mixed caseload of housing management and landlord & tenant contentious matters through to completion
- Cases will include ASBO, possession claims, disrepair, injunctions and prosecutions
- To assist with instructing external solicitors for matters that cannot be dealt with in-house
- To support the junior legal team members and volunteers and provide general assistance to the legal team
The Person
- A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with at least 2 years' PQE
- Previous Housing Litigation experience would be essential for this role, including disrepair claims
- The employer is flexible to the background of the candidate (i.e. worked in private or public sector)
