Job description: Home Choice Assistant, Kingswood, Gloucestershire (TWO VACANCIES)
A local authority in Cambridge are recruiting for two Housing Options Assistants to cover the recruitment process for a permanent member of staff, this role will be based in Kingswood, in Gloucestershire.

The Role
In this role you will be assisting Home Choice Officers in the provision of a comprehensive Housing Options service. Your responsibilities will include:
-Provide administrative support to the Homechoice Officers and gather evidence to support housing applications.
-Maintain the council's housing register - this will include processing applications, updating records and carrying out reviews and investigations of existing and ongoing cases and applications.
-Providing advice and information on housing options to the public.
-Identify clients who can be referred to alternative housing options, such as Help to Buy schemes.
-To ensure accurate records are kept of all contact with housing applications and their cases

The Candidate
To be successful in this role it is essential you have prior experience in a housing options, advice or solutions role, or a similar Housing related role, and a good understanding of the Choice Based Lettings System

The Contract
These contracts are initially for three-months, though could be extended, or potentially made permanent, as you will also have a chance to apply for the permanent role. The roles are full time, working 37 hours per week, 9.00-17.00, Monday to Friday.
