Job description: A local charity who provide housing for older people are recruiting for a Scheme Manager to provide a housing management service on a full or part time basis, in one of their sheltered housing services in Hammersmith.

The Role
The focus of this Housing Scheme Manager role is to provide a robust housing management service to the residents and will include the following tasks and responsibilities:
*Deliver an effective customer focused housing management and support service working with multi-agency partners
*Conduct assessments of risk and need and provide personalised support to residents.
*Understand the housing management performance targets relevant to your scheme(s) and take action to contribute to their achievement.
*Work closely with other agencies to ensure residents are able to access a full range of services and support.
*Maintain administration systems and databases, processes and accurate records and provide monthly performance reports and information for other reports, as required.
*Maintain Health and Safety requirements in accordance with Health and Safety policies and site-specific risk assessments. Undertaking checks as required. This includes the fire system, lifeline pull cord system and warden call system.
*Actively promote and encourage resident involvement and participation, in liaison with other teams as required. Supporting residents to use online services where appropriate.
*Assist the income management team in ensuring rental and service charge income is maximised and recovered.
*Be proficient in the use of technology and competent in the use of Microsoft Office embracing new ways of working. Maximising the use of mobile technology to carry out day to day and targeted activities/campaigns.
*Contribute to service improvement by actively putting forward ideas and contributing to team meetings and other events.

The Candidate
To be considered for this Housing Scheme Manager role, it is essential that you have previous experience providing a housing management service to residents of a sheltered housing service.
You will need to be IT literate to be able to use the systems in place and be empathetic towards the tenants. You will need experience of multi-agency working as well as knowledge of care & support services, including relevant legislation and good practice
As this role is working with vulnerable people, it is essential that you have a clean DBS, ideally on the update service, and as the role will include cover within other schemes where required, you will need to be a car driver with access to a vehicle for work.

The Contract
Candidates who are able to work full or part time will be considered for this Housing Scheme Manager vacancy and the contract will run for an initial 12 weeks, covering the recruitment process for a number of positions..
