Job description: I am currently recruiting for a Housing Support Worker based in Salisbury, Wiltshire. This is a full time role working Monday to Friday preferably 10:00am - 6:00pm however there is the possibility of working 9:00am - 5:00pm. You must have an Enhanced DBS to be considered for this role.

We are recruiting for a Support Worker to be based at Wiltshire. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, highly motivated with excellent communication and computer skills. The assignment will involve: taking referrals and carrying out assessments of clients' needs, liaising with health professionals, providing housing related support, offering benefits advise, taking measures to prevent homelessness, visiting clinics and ensure that prospective and current clients are fully aware of the support available as well as their financial obligations, rights and responsibilities under their tenancy/occupation arrangements and all related procedures. Support Worker will be taking the client to pre-arranged meetings in walkable distance from the Foyer.

You would be based working within a young persons' project supporting 28 young people aged 16-25 to acquire independent living skills, benefits in key working sessions. At the moment there are no clients over 21 years old. Your caseload would be 8 - 9 plus ad hoc requirements. The foyer is a supporting living 24 service consisting of 14 separate flats accommodating two users in each. Client have own rooms and share kitchen and communal area.

Essential requirements:
*Enhanced up to date DBS.
*Computer literacy.
*Knowledge of boundaries.
*Knowledge of Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), Universal Credit payment and eligibility for Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
*Experience of working in one of the following settings: housing options, homeless prevention, homelessness assessment, resettlement service, care and support, housing benefits, independent living, budgeting and support tenancy.
*Awareness of challenging behaviours and language
