Job description: Job title: HR Employee Relations Manager
Location: Nottingham, NG2
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: ongoing temp covering long term secondment
Weekly Hours: 37 hours per week
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday, 09:00am - 05:00pm
Direct reports: 2 x HR Senior Advisors, 2 x HR Advisors, 2 x HR Assistants

Our client is look for an Employee Relations Manager to lead the HR team to effectively manage all employee relations casework and transactional HR activity, ensuring that this activity is carried out in a manner which supports the OD strategy. Support all Directorates on a broad spectrum of ER activities including grievances, disciplinaries, restructures, redundancies and TUPE transfers. Provide specialist advice and guidance, serving as the escalation point for complex ER issues.
Duties will include:
*Lead on or oversee all employee relations casework working in partnership with managers and trade unions to provide innovative solutions to complex HR problems
*Lead and advise on employment law, complex ER cases, and tribunals
*Supports on the outcome of organisational design work resulting in restructures, redundancies or TUPE transfers. Manage this process from start to finish ensuring best practice is applied
*Develops positive working relationships with employees and unions, ensuring effective consultation and negotiation takes place between all parties as required
*Prepare, interpret and present complex reports to senior management and the board.
Essential Criteria -
*Management and delivery of a high quality HR service to
tight deadlines
*Proven experience and detailed understanding of Employment Legislation and its practical application
*Management and delivery of HR support on the full spectrum of ER casework, including tribunals and appeals
*Successful management of and engagement with Trade Unions
*Providing HR services to a diverse workforce
*Significant line management experience
*Knowledge and experience of overseeing HR transactional activity
*CIPD Membership or equivalent qualifications plus significant relevant experience
