Job description: Role: HR Support Officer
Location: London Borough of Barnet
Work pattern: Full time - 37.5 hours
Start date: 01/08/19
End date: Ongoing contract

I'm seeking an experienced HR Support Officer to work for a local authority. In this role you will act as a liaison for internal and external customers, providing HR administrative support in respect of employee relations and contractual issues. You will also assist on a range of HR related Projects and support HR colleagues to develop and maintain strategic HR activity.

Key Responsibilities
*You will monitor HR inboxes, ensuring that queries and responded to within 48 hours.
*You will liaise with the Council in respect of their establishment data, ensuring that this information is up to date.
*You will review payroll and recruitment documentation, ensuing this is factually accurate and within the agreed establishment controls.
*You will obtain monthly reports in respect of compliance activity relating to DBS checks, ensuring that the client is undertaking appropriate compliance activity.
*You will collate and analyse data to support HR Business Partners in their decision making and provision of advice to the council.

Experience:
*You will possess previous experience working in a relevant HR role.
*You will have excellent level of verbal, written and reading skills.
*You have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages, in particular Excel.
*You will require knowledge on a range of HR issues including employment law, recruitment and payroll principles.
