Job description: Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an Incident and Crime Evaluator to be based in Penrith.

The post holder will support both the Force Crime and Incident Registrar and Deputy Force Crime and Incident Registrar in ensuring compliance with the Home Office Counting rules for both Crime and Incident Recording Standards and adherence to the rules on assigning crime outcomes.

-Undertake direct liaison with Officers and staff to ensure the National Crime Recording Standards (NCRS) are applied correctly and crimes are submitted where necessary ensuring compliance with NCRS.
-Undertake direct liaison with Officers and staff to ensure the National Standard for Incident Recording (NSIR) is applied correctly and incidents are finalised in accordance with NSIR.
-Undertake the role of Designated Decision Maker (DDM) as proscribed in the HOCRs for recorded crime. This will include file and outcome review, crime classification and crime cancellation.
-Analyse and evaluate calls and logs ensuring adherence to the Minimum Data Standards and use of correct NSIR closing codes and reasons why crimes have not been submitted if an allegation is made initially in accordance with NCRS

-Practical knowledge and experience of The National Standards for Crime and Incident Recording and Associated Home Office Counting Rules.
-Demonstrable ability to assess situations and make decisions in line with force policy and national guidelines.
-Knowledge of Force systems e.g. SAFE, Red Sigma, PNC (Desirable)
