Job description: Income Officer, Chichester
One of Britain's largest Housing associations are recruiting for two Income Officers on, Six-Month Fixed-Term Contracts, to join their team in managing the prevention and recovery of rent arrears and other debts for all tenure types.

The Role
The focus of the role is to minimize rent arrears and maximise arrears collection - this will include the following activities:
*Take the lead on responding back to all resident correspondence in regard to the management of their account and ensure they are resolved in a manner that improves overall customer satisfaction/experience.
*Record any dissatisfaction in accordance with The Hyde Groups complaints policy and procedure.
*To enable Residents to manage themselves through Welfare Reform Changes in line with the Agenda. To maintain expertise and knowledge on Welfare Reform to provide advice and guidance.
*Ensure residents receive appropriate advice and guidance regarding benefits and welfare entitlements in order to maximise the resident's potential income, making appropriate referrals where identified.
*Work within and adhere to all timescales and controls set out in the Hyde Customer Services and Operations Policy and Procedures such as escalations. Make the Account Manager aware immediately where issues are identified.
*Offer money management advice in order to assist the resident in prioritisation of rent and service charge payments and reduction of arrears.
*Refer cases to appropriate teams/external agencies where more in depth advice is required.
*Contribute to the achievement of Hyde Customer Services and Operations targets and objectives by effectively managing individual performance. Ensuring no delays in the processing of information or impact on service delivery.
*To prepare all necessary paperwork in order to make an application to County Court for possession proceedings and/or money judgements ensuring all associated protocols have been completed.
*To represent Hyde by attending and presenting cases professionally at court to successfully securing possession orders and/or money judgements.
*To prepare professional eviction reports for approval, in line with policy and procedure. To attend and carry out an eviction.

The Candidate
To successfully apply for this role, you will require previous income collection experience, as well as:
*Experience using Microsoft outlook, word and excel
*Knowledge of Northgate
*Listens actively; and conveys key messages and describes processes clearly and effectively
*Prepares and provides accurate and timely written and verbal communication

The Contract
Fixed Term Contract - 6 Months
Full time - 35 hrs per week
Location - Chichester
£25,500 pro rata inc. excellent and unique Benefits package.
