Job description: Income Officer
A local authority in Northampton are recruiting for a Rent Income Officer to act as primary officer for every tenant on the patch in accordance with rent arrears strategy and procedures, undertaking daily contact with tenants and their representatives concerning any aspect of Rent Income collection.

The Role
The focus of this role is to maximise rental income and reduce arrears across your designated patch. Including daily contact with tenants and their representatives, including home visits, telephone enquiries, office interviews, taking payments by telephone, offering advice on maximising income and methods of payment, debt counselling signposting and attend evictions.

The Candidate
To apply for the role, you will require previous Income Management experience, either as an Income Officer or Housing Officer and have excellent working knowledge and experience of the tools used.

The Contract
This is an initial 3 month contract, working 37 hours per week.
