Service Care Solutions are looking to recruit an Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) on a permanent basis for Haringey Council. The successful post older will chair LAC Reviews in accordance with current legislation, review care/pathways plans and ensure LAC Reviews scrutinise assessments, planning and provision of services to ensure high quality decisions to promote the children's best interest and approved outcomes.

PAY - £49,464 - £52,482
CONTRACT - Permanent

*Social work qualification and active HCPC registration
*Evidence of post-qualification continuing professional development, working directly with looked after children, children subject to CP plans and their parents/carers
*Significant experience of chairing multi-agency meetings
*Experience of working in a diverse ethnic and urban environment with families from a variety of cultural backgrounds
*Knowledge of the quality assurance function of the IRO/CPA role with relevant audit skills
*Well-developed written, oral and presentation skills
*Knowledge of national issues relevant to looked after children and child protection, including relevant research and evidence-based models of best practice
*To develop and deliver training packages to both single and multi-agency audiences
*To ensure a written LAC review record, with a SMART Plan, summarising any decisions or recommendations that have been agreed, is produced in a timely manner and distributed to all relevant parties
*To provide consultation with Social Workers, Managers or other professionals to provide advice and guidance
