Job description: Independent Reviewing & Child Protection Officer

Service Care Solutions are current recruiting for an experienced part time Independent Reviewing Officer to work on behalf of St Helens Council on an initial 3 month contract. This will be a home based role due to COVID-19 altthough some visits may still be expected where telephone and video contact is not appropriate.

Main areas of responsibility for this role include
-Charing LAC meetings and Child Protection Conferences and reviews of other cases where required.
-To introduce and participant in quality assurance initiatives and identify deficits in social work practice.
-To review, audit and quality assure social work files.

Essential Criteria
-Substantial experience working in child protection.
-Social Work England Registration.
-Enhanced DBS.
