Job description: Role: Information Technician
Location: Ellesmere Port
Work pattern: Fulltime - 37 hours, Mon-Fri
Start date: ASAP
Contract: Temporary Contract

I'm looking for an information technician to provide technical support for the maintenance of accurate, complete and up to date property related information in respect of all property owned, used or maintained, in order to meet the operational and business requirements of the service
Key Responsibilities
*Contribute to the maintenance of the Corporate property information databases, geographic information systems and other specialist systems utilised by the service, to ensure that the information is complete, up to date and accurate.
*Contribute to the operation of the service's document management system to ensure that documents are captured and stored appropriately and in a timely manner.
*Extract and interpret information from existing data sources records/systems/databases
*Provide a prompt and efficient response to requests for information from within the service
*Prepare property interest plans utilising specialist GIS software as required for all purposes including property transactions, planning applications and for inclusion in legal documents
*Transfer documents/files to document storage facilities
Experience:
5 GCSE's or equivalent
*Able to demonstrate experience of using relational databases and other electronic record management systems.
*Highly IT literate with good working knowledge of MS Office suite.
*Ability to interpret Ordnance Survey maps and plans
*Familiar with GIS software and technologies
*Familiar with asset databases and related software
