Job description: Are you looking for a new full-time role? I am recruiting for a Band 7 Inpatient Service Manager in the Nottinghamshire area. The position is for 37.5 hours a week, over 5 days. The vacancy is for 4 months with a view of extension.

Job Purpose - Band 7 Inpatient Service Manager

The post holder will be responsible for the operational management of a ward team which provide the highest quality health service to a diverse patient group, their families and carers. The successful candidate is required to have excellent clinical skills and management skills in the areas of people and financial management.

*Ensure the effective running of inpatient ward and provide on-going professional leadership within a multi-disciplinary framework.
*Ensure the working practices of all staff follow the applicable professional bodies and Trust policy and procedure.
*To ensure that all staff have access to clinical supervision that encourages reflective and development approaches to clinical practice.
*Responsible for the team and individual application for safe monitoring, management and administration of medication as required by Trust policy.
*Demonstrate and be responsible for the safe application of relevant, up-to-date legislation (including the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty etc) within a specified area.
*To be responsible for the team and individual application of safeguarding responsibilities for children and vulnerable adults in line with Trust policy, procedure and guidance, including making timely child and adult safeguarding referrals as required.
