Job description: Service Care Solutions are looking for a Intelligence Officer/Data Inputter to work on a full-time contract at a Police Station in Manchester.

To record, rate and evaluate intelligence received in the Force Intelligence Branch and deal with that intelligence appropriately, ensuring that the security and confidentiality of all intelligence handled is maintained and complies with disclosure legislation in conjunction with national and local policies affecting the dissemination of intelligence..

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

To review, research and develop intelligence to assist in the prevention, detection and reduction of crime.

To ensure the effective, prompt and appropriate management of intelligence throughout the force.

To identify risk and harm (actual or emerging) to the force and divisions.

To Support District and Specialised Units with intelligence collection in the event of a major incident, large scale investigation or force priority/threat.

Knowledge:

Aware of the National Intelligence Model.

Knowledge and understanding of appropriate legislation e.g. Date protection Act, MOPI, Human rights, GPMS and CPIA.

Has knowledge of force operational procedures in relation to the obtaining of information and intelligence

Experience:

Carried out work involving research
Experience of management and dissemination of sensitive intelligence on Force systems.
Experience of working in an intelligence environment.
Experience of management and dissemination of sensitive intelligence on Force systems.
