Interim Service Manager

Job Description

Service Care Solutions are looking to recruit an experienced Service Manager to support the implementation of a brand new Community Mental Health Support Team in Lancashire.

The successful individuals will work within a Children and Young People Mental Health Support Team who have bases in Preston, Chorley, South Ribble and West Lancashire.

The service offer early intervention health and wellbeing services for children and young people using a wide range of engagement methods across community and educational settings.

The service supports CYP, their families and/or carers providing extra capacity for Early Intervention support within School and College settings within 3 areas:

  • Providing evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing issues
  • Support designated senior mental health leads in each setting
  • Provide timely advice to school and college staff and parents as required

The Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) will work with over 55 schools and colleges across the areas helping with issues like anxiety, low mood, and behavioural difficulties.

Service Manager

As a Service Manager you will implement, develop and lead our Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) in Central and West Lancashire.

As a Senior Manager, you will have a successful record of leading a skill mix team, including clinicians, delivering an innovative and high performing service to children, young people and families. You will have previous experience of working in partnership with education and will have experience of implementing a new service. You will be adept at balancing strategic and operational leadership of a service being accountable for all areas of service delivery and development. You will also be an excellent communicator who is able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders including schools, Local Authorities, Clinical Commissioning Groups, Public Health England, Senior Education Staff, School Nursing, CAMHS.

Contract:

Interim 6 Months

£26.00ph (Ltd) May be negotiable depending on experience.

Permanent Opportunity available thereafter

Person Specification:

The successful applicant must be a Degree Qualified in relevant subject and hold Management/Leadership qualification e.g. NVQ Level 5 or equivalent.

The applicant must hold a minimum of 2 years experience as a Senior Manager within a Mental Health Setting with children and young people providing clinical supervision and successful record of leading a multidisciplinary team.
