IT Data Architect - Worcester

Job description: My client, a housing association, is currently looking for an IT Data Architect to work on an initial 3 month Contract in the Worcestershire area.

The role sits within the IS department and is to support the delivery of the Group's GDPR program. The program is business led with key activities being managed from within the IS department. The role will have a key focus on provision of artefacts that support the program.

The role of Data Architect will include -

Provide technical expertise to support the design, implementation and maintenance of data governance strategies to deliver improvements in line with aims, particularly in relation to data, that enable the Group to maximise operational efficiencies. Ensure high standards are set and maintained and end user requirements and expectations are managed and delivered.

Manage, develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers and other third parties implementing improvements to ensure effective service delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements and data governance.

The key focus for the successful candidate will be the ongoing GDPR programme. The role will support internal staff and stakeholders by assisting in the delivery of essential artefacts and the definition and promotion of best practice.

Skills and experiences -

* Proven experience analysing and diagnosing technical data problems and identifying and implementing effective solutions and improvements

* Proven experience of managing projects with strong project management skills

* Working knowledge of the use of Data Quality/MDM tools in a business environment (e.g. SAS Data Management) and Batch processing

* Practical experience of producing business/financial documentation and analysis to support the implementation of information system changes
