Job description: My Client, a local authority in Suffolk, is currently looking for an IT Helpdesk Analyst to work on an initial 2 month contract basis with extension likely.

You will provide first line technical support to customers of the service (Suffolk County Council) via a number of engagement channels, managing requests through to resolution. This role will have technical elements, but has a strong focus on good customer service too.


Specialist knowledge skills and experience required:

1. Relevant qualification or NVQ 4 or equivalent knowledge and experience
2. Experience of working within information technology services
3. Experience of working within a customer service environment
4. Excellent knowledge and understanding of customer service
5. Good working knowledge of Service Desk area and providing technical support
6. Ability to research and understand technical data
7. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing technical and/or complex information with a range of audiences
8. Ability to ascertain the precise nature of customer requirements
9. Adept at sharing skills and resources with colleagues and partners in new and productive ways whilst making best use of technology to enhance the services people receive
10. Skilled communicator who can be clear about the vision and bring it to life for others, proficient in persuading, influencing and discussing difficult issues.
