Job description: My Client, a local authority, is currently seeking a Project Support Officer to work on an initial 3 month contract in Somerset.

My client require a Project Support Officer to help with the implementation of a new Telephony system.

My client wish to bring in the successful candidate and get them up to speed with the new Telephony system that is being implemented. Once you are up to speed, you will be joining an existing candidate and take on the task of training up my clients employees on the new system.

Training my clients current staff will include hosting several group training sessions per day, one to one training and floor walking. As my clients staff are not all tech savvy, these training sessions have had excellent feedback and proved to be hugely useful.

Ideal candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to get to grips with new technology. Candidates should also be comfortable in hosting group training sessions and be able to present information clearly to groups.

Skills:
* Directed by the Project Manager
* Confident getting to know new ICT systems
* Technically orientated
* Comfortable supporting staff at end user level on new ICT systems
* Conduct training of users, train the trainer, one to one, small groups and floor walking to offer assistance where required on 'go live' days.
* Organise training of users and managers following training plan; booking meeting rooms and contacting delegates
* Excellent interpersonal skills face to face and over the phone
* Enthusiastic, proactive, confident and organised
* Project experience is desirable but not essential
* Account management skills desirable but not essential
* Word, Excel and Outlook skills essential / SharePoint experience desired by not essential
* Monitor and maintain project documentation e.g. project plan, issues & defects logs, risk register, action plans
* Arrange project meetings and produce basic meeting notes where required
* Produce weekly project highlight reports
* Co-ordinate & maintain defect/issues logs for system & user testing and tracking resolution

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
