Job description: I am currently seeking an IT Service Desk Analyst to work on an initial 3 month contract in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

This role is a night shift pattern working 9pm to 8am the following morning. Shift patterns are 4 days on 4 days off, and then 3 days on and 3 days off. Please only apply if you can work the night shift rota.

My client are a busy academic institute which offer IT support to both staff and students around the clock. Candidates applying should have previous experience working in an IT Service Desk environment, excellent customer service qualities which include a good phone manner.

Candidates should have good working knowledge of Windows applications and Microsoft operating systems, any knowledge of Mac operating systems is desirable.

General Duties:

* Respond to requests for support following agreed procedures via multiple channels including, telephone, email, instant chat, remote support tools and occasionally face to face - resolves more than 70% calls at point of contact.
* Promptly allocate unresolved calls as appropriate.
* Maintain accurate records and advises relevant persons of actions taken.
* Making sure that queries are dealt with in good time and with precision.
