Job description: My Client, a company providing technology to the Finance Industry in North Cheshire, is currently looking for an IT Support technician to join their team.

The company has been established for roughly 10 years, and have been highly successful in offering financial solutions to huge independent finance businesses. As a result, they are a well respected brand within the industry, as their products are based on academically sound backing. Their next aim is to make their tech the go-to product.


So where do you fit in?

You'll be required to assist the business from a support point of view, and will work within a team, but will be expected to be able to work under your own guidance too. Given the nature of the role, you will need excellent communication skills, and to continue the excellent reputation of the business in the future, you must be able to deliver exceptional support in an honest, transparent manner. You will be a key member of the company, given that you will be working directly with clients, and will need to have the drive and determination to provide the best service you can at all times.


What will I be doing?

You will be expected to deal with monitoring the internal network, back up VOIP calls, and back up the database and website in general, as well as resolving technical issues within the company, looking into potential and current issues with hardware and software, and updating the internal CRM.


What do I need to know?

Ideally you'll be educated to degree level, and will have roughly 1-2 years experience within a supporting role. In terms of skillset, they would be looking for candidates with at least experience of;

* Networking
* Windows Desktop Support
* Both Hardware and Software troubleshooting

If you have any of the following skills, you'll be edging your way ever closer to being the perfect individual!

* VOIP
* Office 365 Admin experience
* Linux understanding
* Testing experience
