Job description: I am currently recruiting for an IT Support Officer to work in Taunton.

This role is initially for 6 months and does fall Inside IR35.

My client are seeking an ICT Support Officer to cover a vacancy in their ICT Service Desk Team. The post is responsible for provision of first and second line support for the ICT service via the Service Desk, working in a team of 4 others.

They have office bases in Taunton, Williton and Wellington - the post includes provision of a face-to-face service at each of these sites - on a rota with other members of the team.

Hours of service will be 9am - 5pm

Key Responsibilities:

* To deliver the ICT infrastructure support service to the Client
* Servers
* Data Storage
* Networking
* Telephone System
* Printing

* To deliver the ICT end user device support service.
* Desktop PCs
* Laptops
* Other mobile devices

*To ensure the Clients external and internal security systems are regularly updated and operating correctly
* To support the other members of the ICT service in the delivery of their duties

Specific for this job:

* Server installation and support
* Network maintenance, troubleshooting and support
* Backup system operation
* PC & Laptop installation & support
* Security systems maintenance and support
* Providing first and second line support via helpdesk
* Infrastructure capacity management - monitor capacity of all ICT infrastructure and advise ICT Manager (WSC) on any requirements for changes
* To undertake surveys of equipment and licences and maintain the ICT Asset Management Database and advise on any licence compliance issues
* Any other reasonable duties of a similar nature requested by Management
