Job description: I am currently recruiting for IT Support Technicians to work fixed 10 day periods throughout 2018 in London, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, and Hampshire.

My client require IT support Technicians to work 10-day periods in March, June, September and December so applying candidates must be available to work these dates. My client will be running computer based testing in Central London, Stevenage, Norwich, and Farnborough for students who will be taking their ACCA examinations. Successful candidates should have desktop and networking skills to be considered for this role, and to ensure that examination computers are setup, and working correctly ready for the students.

Responsibilities:

* Set up IT equipment (exam delivery workstations, temporary cabling) in preparation for the CBT (computer-based testing) session.
* Verify, at the agreed time before the CBT session, if the CBT platform (the exam software and related IT infrastructure) works correctly. This may include scheduling and running a test exam on all exam delivery workstations.
* Provide hands-on, first line IT support before and during the CBT session. This includes support for the server and computers used for exam delivery, local area network and communication links.
* Liaise with Pearson VUE Help Desk, my clients Global Information Services (GIS), local/regional IT staff and other third party service providers in troubleshooting and resolving problems.
* Record details of technical issues or problems in my clients Service Desk tool (ServiceNow).
* Additional duties in line with the role may be required.

Training and development:

* Training will be provided on all areas to be covered, including: configuration; software installation; testing; running platform provider remote management application (RMA); and remote access process

Candidates who are local to the required location are preferred, however travelling costs will be covered, 45p per mile and reimbursed train fare.
