Job description: Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a IT Technical Engineer to work in Essex within the NHS on a temporary agency contract.

Monday to Friday 9-5

£28.00ltd (£22.47PAYE) an hour paid via an umbrella company.

An experienced engineer who can demonstrate Technical Excellence in the provision of:-
*Telephone advice and remote assistance as required to internal customers on incidents aligned to you by the Service Desk Technician(s)
*Technically excellent in given technology field(s), being the lead specialist to aid the prompt resolution of any incident aligned to you by the Service Desk, which are identified to be your core skill set. This may involve incidents relating to client devices, core server or core network architecture.
*Takes responsibility for the provision and security of 3rd line services to Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. These services include but are not limited to Networks (SAN, LAN, WAN, iSCSI, Telephony and IP Telephony), VmWare, applications and reporting systems.
*The post holder will participate in the project delivery responsibilities for the technical aspects of IT&T Services working closely with Technical Manager and Project Managers.
*The post holder will be responsible for assisting the Senior Technical Specialist Manager to achieve the KPI's as defined for the department.
*They will, as experts in their field, be expected to form part of the Trust's out of hours on-call support team.
Key Areas
*To maintain and project a professional image on behalf of the Trust being courteous at all times.
*Ensure that service requests are responded to inline with the agreed SLA (Service Level Agreements) and escalation parameters.
*Maintain manufacturer accredited levels of competence in the technical areas for which you are providing primary support. These will be identified to you by the Head of Service Delivery.
*To update all incidents assigned to you by the ITT Service Desk in order to provide good data for Incident and Problem Management
*To maintain relationships with interfacing business functions and other IT functions
*To achieve maximum personal KPI's
*To assist the team in achieving the targets set.
*To take responsibility for identifying the operational requirements for efficient and cost-effective network services, having particular regard for the need to ensure that the reliability and resilience of such services is consistent with the clinical and business continuity requirements of the Trust and their providers.
*To plan specific network / server infrastructure installations, maintenance and upgrades which may impact across Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust following the Change Management Procedure. For example to ensure that network infrastructure is in place for the delivery of new IT systems, which will require planning and co-ordination.

*Have an extensive knowledge in all Cisco Networking technologies including Routing, Switching, Wireless LAN, Voice and Security solutions.
*Must be specialised in VMWare virtualisation infrastructure.
*Must have Sound technical knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory for services integration and should be capable of administering Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 Service/Active Directory
