Junior/Graduate IT Project Support Worker - Somerset

Job description: My Client, a local authority, is currently requiring a Graduate/Junior Project Support Worker to work on an initial 3 month contract.

This role is ideal for an enthusiastic project support worker who is looking to further their experience in this field, and is also looking to eventually move into project Management.

My client is based in a 3 storey building which is being refurbished floor by floor. They require the successful candidate to (with the Project Managers supervision) oversee the complete removal of each floors IT Infrastructure and equipment. The equipment will then be moved to another specified area and set back up so as not to cause any disruption in day to day working. Some of the IT infrastructure will be moved to remote working sites, so candidates will need a valid UK driving license, my client will provide a vehicle to use if required.

Although you will be overseeing the project, my client require candidates who are not afraid to get their hands dirty as the role will involve physically moving equipment around. A good understanding of setting up computers, laptops, monitors and other IT equipment would be highly beneficial, however my client will include some training to get you up to speed.

My client are going through some big changes and have many other exciting IT related projects that 'GO Live' this year. Candidates may have the opportunity to continue on and be part of these new projects when they arise.

Skills:
* Temporary F/T role for 3 months
* Directed by the Project Manager
* Confident getting to know new ICT systems
* Technically orientated, confident with moving client hardware
* Excellent interpersonal skills face to face and over the phone
* Enthusiastic, proactive, confident and organised
* Project experience is desirable but not essential
* Account management skills desirable but not essential
* Word, Excel and Outlook skills essential / SharePoint experience desired by not essential
* Monitor and maintain project documentation e.g. project plan, issues & defects logs, risk register, action plans

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
