Job description: Role: Junior ICT Support Officer
Location: Sevenoaks, TN13
Work pattern: Fulltime - 37 hours, Mon-Fri
Start date: End of September
Contract: Permanent

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual looking to start a career in ICT and join our Support team. You could be a school or college leaver with either a GCSE, A-Level or NVQ in an ICT related subject, or just someone looking to change careers and move into ICT. You should be technically minded with a methodical approach to problem solving, ideally with some experience in a customer service role, a keen interest in ICT and the technology industry.

Key Responsibilities

*Support the ICT Support Officers with helpdesk queries
*Ensure issues are resolved within agreed service level targets and log third party support calls
*Monitor the performance and security of ICT systems to identify potential issues
*System administration duties for all applications including internal security systems
*Support the testing of new development and applications/enhancements
*Promote smarter ways of working across the organisation
*Maintain the hardware inventory to track all ICT assets
*Support the ICT team with administrative duties
*Deliver outstanding customer service, treating everyone fairly and with respect
*Liaise with business users to determine department specific issues and support with smarter ways of working
*Provide assistance or cover for other members of the ICT team as required
*Assist with set up and usage of ICT hardware including laptops, terminals, telephones and mobile devices
*Provide support and guidance on how to use the mobile devices provided to our staff
*Create mobile forms to support our digital plan
*Create dashboards and use Infographics to visualise management information
*Undertake such other duties as reasonably requested by management from time to time

Experience:
*Good accuracy and attention to detail
*IT qualification at GCSE / A-Level / NVQ level or relevant experience within IT or Customer Service industries
*Microsoft Office
*Highly motivated self-starter with a can-do attitude
*Ability to proactively manage tasks and prioritise own workload
*Ability to cope with demanding situations
*Willing and able to learn new software and systems
*Competent in written and spoken English
*Excellent customer service skills

The role is based in Sevenoaks with a requirement to travel to other offices across Kent.
