Job description: Young Persons Support Worker / Key Worker Vacancies, Birmingham
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a number of roles for a large housing association in Birmingham. These roles are both, permanent and temporary, Key Worker and Support Worker vacancies.
To be successful within these roles you will require experience of offering one-on-one support to young people in a sheltered housing. The clients are vulnerable young people aged between 16-18 and your role will be to ensure the service users are home by a curfew time, that any guests are logged into the visitors' book and leave by a certain time in the evening, that records are kept of throughout the day of the young peoples' activities, if they are at home, go out, have visitors, any issues arising and giving them general day-to-day support, including managing their household tasks and cooking. Additionally, all young people have a dedicated key worker who works on a one-to-one basis with them from five hours plus per week, assisting them to acquire the necessary skills for successful independent living.
