Job description: My client, a local authority based in North London is looking for a Landscape Architect to join their team. This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency role and the successful candidate must have a full professional qualification, ideally be a chartered member of the CMLI and have experience with public landscape design projects.

The main purpose of the role is to deliver new build and refurbishment projects to enhance high-density urban environments.

The main responsibilities associated with this role are as follows;

To provide landscape architecture services to RIBA Work Stage 3 for design and build contracts.
To undertake a contract management role from inception to completion for traditionally procured contracts.
To undertake site appraisals, investigations and feasibility studies to assess the suitability of sites for landscaping projects.
Obtain planning permission, approvals under the building acts or regulations, tree felling licences and any other similar requirements.
To prepare proposals and make application for planning permission.
Liaise with planning officers, attend pre-application meetings and prepare submissions and related documents, as necessary.
To ensure that schemes meet the client's sustainability requirements and prepare the necessary information to enable cost benefit analysis of the environmental design features proposed to meet these requirements.
To act as the Designer, in accordance with the CDM 2015 regulations and advise on all matters relevant to health and safety of the project.
Liaise and consult closely with colleagues in other divisions regarding your schemes, in particular around future maintenance issues.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced landscape who combines good knowledge of working drawings production and NBS specification writing with design flair.
A working knowledge of site supervision of contracts would also be an advantage.
The successful candidate will work on several projects at different stages, and have to be able to manage their time efficiently and work with a minimum of supervision.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are looking to offer £18 p/hr Umbrella Ltd - £22 p/hr Umbrella Ltd for this position.
