Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a Local Authority, based Lancashire, which is in need of an experienced Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to join their team.
Role: Contracts and Procurement Solicitor
Location: Lancashire, hybrid working
Contract Length: 3 months ongoing
Rate of Pay: £40-£45ph umbrella
The Role:
- Draft legislation on various different Commercial Contracts matters
- Deal with caseloads on Commercial Contracts matters from start to completion
- To assist with the investigation of complaints relating to Commercial Contracts matters
- To contribute to the positive and well managed running of the Council's legal team
The Person:
- Someone with a minimum of 3 years PQE in Commercial Contracts Law
- Ideally someone with at least 3 years of experience working within a Local Authority
- Someone with current, hands on experience of drafting legislation
- Experience of drafting construction contracts (NEC/JCT) and related documents would be ideal
- Someone who is able to proactively contribute to the successful running of the team
