Job description: My client, an online recruitment marketplace firm, is looking for a Ruby on Rails Lead Developer to work for them in Central Manchester.

Following a recent round of investment they are recruiting key people ready for the next phase of this exciting and rewarding journey.

They've started building an intelligent online marketplace that uses data and reviews to make recruitment more transparent for everyone: companies, candidates, and agencies. Can you take it to the next level?

My client are looking for a Technical Leader to help recruit an internal team that will be able to build and support new and existing applications. As one of the first members of this team you'll be instrumental in helping my client define how and what it builds, as well as playing a central role in ensuring they recruit the right people and create the right culture. You will be working closely with the business' outcomes to collaboratively design solutions that meet the needs of its users; SME employers, small independent recruitment agencies, and you.

Essential:

* Ruby on Rails experience
* Strong knowledge of MySQL
* At least basic HTML and CSS
* Working knowledge of Javascript Library

Who are you and what will you bring?

* A Ruby specialist
* A Ruby on Rails 4,5 expert
* Strong MySQL
* Good knowledge of Front End frameworks (HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap)
* Experience with Javascript frameworks (JQuery)
* A strong testing background with Rspec preferable
* Great Programme practices including CI/CD (Capistrano) and TDD
* Git
* Knowledge of AWS
* Experience of working in Agile team
* Readiness to work full across the full stack
* Experience of working in a commercial environment

Nice to have or be able to learn:

* RESTful API's
* Puppet
* Nginx
* Docker
* Stripe Payments
