Job description: Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Lead Front End Developer to work for a client in Portishead, Bristol.

The main responsibility of the role will be the development and creation of front facing web site and intranet design, along with maintaining responsibility for facilitation of content management.

-Act as front-end technical lead working with complex and high value products and services.
-Use a combination of specialist knowledge, and interpersonal skills to consult and negotiate with end users, colleagues and senior stakeholders.
-To lead on the strategic approach for design and structure of interfaces and front-end
development, contributing to the overall digital transformation strategy for the organisation.
-Lead the design, coding and styling of the front-end of the force website and intranet and other websites and services as required
-To lead the user Experience (UX team), in aspects of user's journey, content strategy and
design on the force's digital channels.
-The management of third-party suppliers, stakeholder engagement and liaising with external
partners and agencies
-To provide expertise on a range of complex issue to colleagues at all levels of the organisation on the production of web based content, advising on best practice and maintaining corporate requirements.
-To ensure security measures are designed into existing and new interfaces ensuring integrity of the system
-To develop and test all design work ensuring it meets accessibility guidelines and provide
analysis of web usage
-To facilitate turning ideas and concepts into successful websites
-To research emerging technologies and tools and adapt to changes in the industry.
-To maintain the Constabulary's reputation on-line, and lead the gatekeeping function for
content on websites

The post holder must have experience in designing and developing websites. This should include,but not be limited to, building on top of a Content Management System, such as WordPress and building Single Page Applications (SPA) from scratch. You should have a deep understanding of front-end technologies and HTML, CSS and JavaScript programming languages.

The successful candidate will be subjected to security vetting, therefore must have resided in the UK for the previous 5 years.
