Job description: Service Care Solutions are seeking a Lead Front End Developer to work for a client based in Portishead, Bristol.

The role will include the development and creation of front facing web services. Providing additional capacity to focus on development of a new PCC website in WordPress and design/layout work on an open data portal (ESRI platform). UX input into interface layout for bespoke applications and design.

Main Responsibilities:
-To be responsible for the design, coding and styling of the Force websites, creating web content, video and text images.
-To manager existing sections and pages on the Force's digital channels.
-To assist departments and districts with the production of multimedia content, advising on writing for the web and maintaining corporate style.
-To ensure security measures are designed into existing and new interfaces.
-To help facilitate on line web chats and offer advice and guidance to members of staff on content.
-To maintain the Constabulary's reputation on line, and be gatekeeper for content on websites.
-To develop and test all design work meets accessibility guidelines and provide analysis of web usage.
-To help turn ideas and concepts into websites and printed media.
-To research emerging technologies and tools and adapt to changes in the industry.

Essential Criteria:
-Experience of Java & Javascript.
-Experience of producing pages using hand coding as would knowledge of programming languages.
-Experience of active server pages and SQL database website integration.
-Experience of XML and SQL server technologies.
-Experience of using a range of computer packages, including Macromedia Flash and Actionscript and have 3D design.

The successful candidate will be subjected to security vetting, therefore must have resided in the UK for the previous 5 years.
