Job description: One of the UKs largest housing associations is recruiting for contract for a Learning Technology Expert to represent the interests of their L&OD function and oversee the transition of their Learning Portal to a new system. This role will be based in either Kent or Croydon, but for now will be home-based.

The Role
The focus of this role is to represent the interests of the internal L&OD function in providing Learning Technology expertise to interrogate the requirements for a Learning Portal system now and in the future, and thoroughly research products on the open market, compare against requirements and make recommendations on the best providers/systems to meet required needs and to enable the commencement of the tendering process.
You will be expected to balance the requirements with the most value for money option, within budget paramaters and work alongside internal experts in procurement, IT and L&OD.

The Candidate
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have the following skills and experience:
*Expert in a wide range of learning technology solutions that meet and future proof organisational requirements
*Expert research and reporting skills
*Ability to build trust quickly to enable the building of relationships to aid understanding and data gathering
*Ability to develop rapid understanding of a learning environment and culture
*Ability to design engagement tools that gather useful data
*Ability to analyse data from a wide range of sources to inform and extend understanding
*Ability to interpret research data and convert to usable user outcomes to meet Optivo learner and L&OD needs
*Presentation skills and methods that enable understanding and active reflection to a wide range of diverse stakeholders
*Attention to detail that ensures delivery against tight deadlines
*Experience of developing fully comprehensive tender specifications
*Experience of the full end to end tender and procurement process, including robust provider assessments

The Contract
This is a full time position working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a 4-6 week temporary contract.
