Job description: Leasehold Officer, Brent
An exciting opportunity has arose working in Brent as a Leasehold Officer, this will require the individual to deliver an effective leasehold services in accordance with legislation, BHP's policies, performance standards/ targets and customer satisfaction requirements. The leasehold officer will also look to support the Senior Leasehold Officer in all aspect of leasehold services.

The Job Role
-Assist Senior Leasehold Officers in ensuring that information for annual service charge bill is accurate, transparent, making sure that charges are billed in line with the obligations contained within the lease and relevant legislation for post-holders allocated area
-Deal with general everyday enquires and conduct interviews with customers as necessary, ensuring that appropriate action is taken and appropriate information and advice is given on all aspects of available services to customers
-To have general knowledge of Brent Council's Right to Buy Lease and how its provision relates to leasehold charges
-Assist in the maintenance of a database of contracts in force in own area for each element of service charges and be able to use the Oracle Repairs System sufficiently to answer all customer queries
-Effective liaison with internal units, external organisations and contractors
-Ensure that all correspondence and notices sent out to customers are well presented, free from errors and information presented correctly and to a high standard
-To have basic knowledge of leasehold law, specifically Leasehold Reform and Housing Acts
-To continually strive to maximise the income for administrative/freehold and other variation to lease charges

The Contract
This is a contact starting 28th January 2019 an running to 26th April 2019, working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
