Job description: My client, a Housing Association based regionally in London is looking for a Leasehold Surveyor to join their team. This is a fully Permanent position and the successful candidate must have a professional surveying qualification, a full clean UK driving licence and ideally be a member of the Institute of Residential Property Management.

The main purpose of the role is to review the property requirements in accordance with the client's legal responsibilities and requests from leaseholders/shared ownerships.

The main accountabilities of the role are as follows;

Carry out the full range of requirements which may include pre, post and during work inspections.
Request training as required to widen knowledge and awareness;
Manage leaseholder and third party enquiries;
Investigate complaints and serious incidents ensuring the relevant systems are updated.
Consider any budget implications in order to ensure spend is allocated appropriately to the correct budget to mitigate risk of overspend and recovery via a Section 20 process.
Work alongside Property colleagues to contribute to the development of learning framework to build capability of front line colleagues in relation to leasehold obligations.

The successful candidate will be able to;

Assist in definition of new policy and procedures in conjunction with the Regional Property Team and recommend changes to policy as required
Review inspections and scope of works in accordance with different lease obligations and current legislation.
Consider Health and Safety legislation in all operations.
Keep records as necessary for future reference by Health and Safety and Audit.
Oversee investigations into leasehold queries, complaints and escalations.
Carry out the duties of the post with an understanding of and commitment to customer care.
Ensure that service standards are clearly documented and consistently delivered
