Job description: We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Safeguarding / Project Lead to join the Leaving Care Team under Kent County Council based in Dover.

Job Purpose.

As the safeguarding lead you will work alongside Personal Advisors to identify and engage with the Councils Care Leavers who are involved or show signs of risk taking.
In your new role you will work across the Care Leavers Service to ensure that strong partnership links are developed and maintained with the agencies and professionals involved with the service.
You will primarily work with and alongside the Personal Advisors to increase the confidence and competence in responding to risk. You will be providing professional consultation and training to the wider workforce.

Main Duties and responsibilities.

*Assist the Service to fulfil its responsibilities to safeguard our Care Leavers
*Implement the Service's reporting and recording procedures
*Develop and Promote the Service's best-practice guidance for Safeguarding our Care Leavers
*Sit on our Risk and Ready Homes Panel
*Offer supervision to posts within the CMF bid 2 Project


Requirements for the post

*Social Work Qualification
*HCPC registration
*Previous experience in Leaving Care
*Given the area covered you will need to be a car driver with your own vehicle.
