Job description: Purchase Ledger Clerk - Crime

Location: Chorley

Salary: £17,000+ DOE

This is a fantastic opportunity to join work as a Purchase Ledger Clerk in a large firm with a fantastic reputation. You will be working as a purchase ledger clerk and you will be able to work unsupervised in handling all areas of crime finance issues. You will have experience in drafting crime bills to such agencies as the LAA and HMCTS The ideal candidate will be able to deal with a large workload and be up to date with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules.

Responsibilities:
*Process invoices, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
*Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
*Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
*Assist in the preparation of purchase summaries
*Process business expense returns
*Cashbook and petty cash cheques
*Processing BACS payments and preparing cheques
*Draft crime bills to the LAA and HMCTS

Requirements:
*Bookkeeping experience
*Great interpersonal and communications skills
*Self-discipline
*Good team working skills
*The ability to work to monthly deadlines
*An aptitude for IT - knowledge of software packages like Excel, Sage and BACS
*CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualifications desirable
