Job description: A Dorset based council are recruiting for a Lettings Manager based in Bournemouth. This role will directly responsible for:-
*Ensuring that the units are appropriately priced to match the market conditions
*Co-ordinating the marketing of apartments, including production of a brochure and other materials.
*Co-ordinating appropriate site signage, signposting potential tenants to be able to make contact,
*Complete the furnishing and dressing of the show flat. Operating from the show flat during published hours (to be agreed).
*Experience led creative input into development of the Council's private rent web presence.
*Developing and completing new let and tenancy end paperwork in line with strict procedures, including legislative requirements.
*Oversee the setting up of rent deposit accounts and rent collections
*Seeking and building corporate relationships with relocation agents, large employers and other agents to generate lettings enquiries.
*Responding to all Corporate enquiries and conducting viewings.
*Negotiating singular or bulk corporate tenancies
*Overseeing the handling of enquiries.
*Meeting prospective tenants, conducting viewings and negotiating rental offers.
*Negotiate / purchase / arrange additional extras such as furniture packs, cleaning services and the like.
*Completing applicant vetting requirements.
*Setting up service contracts relating to the operational management of the block, e.g. cleaning of communal areas, waste collections.
The Role
To deliver a high quality, customer focussed housing needs service, including assisted tenancy and rent guarantee schemes and work with a range of agencies and individuals e.g. private and social landlords, potential tenants, housing benefit and housing standards staff, to increase the availability of private rented accommodation and promote sustainable, long term private lettings in Slough.

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you must have experience of -
*3-5 years of relevant experience within a busy lettings environment essential
*Experience of bulk corporate lettings desirable
*Managerial experience directly managing a team
*Good understanding and knowledge of lettings best practice essential
*This role would suit a lettings manager or a senior negotiator who is looking to add to their depth of experience.

The Contract
This is a temporary contact starting ASAP for seven to nine months, working 30 hours per week over 4 days.
