Job description: Lettings Officer, Blackpool. Service Care Solutions are looking to recruit a lettings Officer to work for a client covering areas Blackpool and Fylde. Supporting The Head of Lettings and Allocations, it will be your responsibility to ensure that all vacant property is advertised and re-let promptly in line with Allocation Policies.
Key Accountabilities-
*Ensure the pre-termination; drafting adverts; and sign up and new tenancy visit process is managed efficiently and effectively resulting in sustainable lets.
*To manage the teams voids repair; void loss) and the Marketing Budget
*To produce marketing strategies; lettings and neighbourhood plans in consultation with Place and Tenancy Management
*To attend weekly void progress meetings with Property Maintenance Team and contractors (if appropriate) to ensure properties let promptly, monitor void standards and manage the void repair budget
*To build effective sustainable working relationships with local authorities in your patch; attending nomination and CBL meetings
*Liaise with the central Lettings Team to ensure continuity of service and performance
*Respond to complaints and councillor and MP enquiries
*Work with other departments to ensure an efficient and effective service. These will include but not be limited to the central lettings team, Place and Tenancy Management, Business Support, Income Collection Service, Property Maintenance Department
*Identifying properties to convert to affordable rent ad hoc and for inclusion in the Marketing Plans
*Operating at a strategic level contributing towards business priorities such as business planning and policy writing.
*To provide a professional customer service in the area to applicants and new customers

Skills/Knowledge/Experience required
*Experience working in social housing or lettings
*Experience of working to deadlines
*Good organisational skills
*Ability to review information to determine trends
*Experience / understanding of marketing techniques to respond to different customer bases, property types and varying property markets
