Job description: Role: Lettings Officer
Location: Cambridge, CB2
Work pattern: 37 hrs - Mon - Fri, 08:30 -17:00
Start date: ASAP
End date: 6 month temporary contract

I'm currently recruiting for an Agency Lettings Officer to work for a great company. The Letting Officer role, while a specialist one, in important respects mirrors a similar administrative role coordinating the work of front line housing advisors. The Letting Agency Coordinator will be expected to work closely with this other post-holder on some service-wide responsibilities and each post-holder will cover for the other during annual leave and other periods of absence

Key Responsibilities
Take primary day-to-day responsibility for the administration of the letting agency. This will include developing and maintaining systems which record and anticipate key events like rents due, the creation and termination of tenancies, tenancy inspections, annual gas safety checks and other site visits, payments to contractors, payments to landlords.
*Writing and updating financial and administrative procedures
*Assisting with the rent-in-advance / rent deposit scheme and take charge of the billing and recovery elements of the scheme.
*Attend meetings as necessary, including occasional site meetings and evening events.
*Be familiar with the key duties of the housing advice service coordinator role and ensure that this officer understands your own the key responsibilities. Provide cover for this officer by arrangement and in the event of unplanned absence.

*Experience working within the housing sector.
*Substantial experience of administration and record keeping for a complex organisation.
*Proven experience of developing administrative processes and procedures to ensure the effective and consistent delivery of quality services.
*Previous experience in a local authority
