Job description: Licensing Admin Assistant - Rochford

Service Care Construction are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority based in Rochford who require an experienced licensing admin worker to join their team on a temporary basis. Previous experience within a customer facing role and strong admin skills is essential for this post as is experience of working in a busy office dealing with a wide range of issues.

This is a full time position working Monday to Friday and requires a flexible and proactive approach to work. The role involves working within the licensing team as an administrative assistant. This particular service deals with Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle Licensing and a number of other regimes.

The duties will include day-to-day administration, including processing and determination of applications for licences and permits, telephone inquiries, booking appointments and assisting with all general clerical and administrative tasks within the department

The role also has a physical element which includes vehicle inspections, taxi meter checks, face to face meetings with customers and assisting Licensing Officers with their duties.
