Job description: My client, a local authority based in North West London is looking for a Lift Engineer to join their team. This is a full time, temporary role for an ongoing contract and the successful candidate will hold a relevant professional qualification and ideally be Chartered.

The main purpose of the role is to deliver an effective general lift and disabled lift service to the client and to carry out effective contract management and delivery of electrical and lift refurbishment and renewal projects.

The main responsibilities of the role include;

Project and contract management of lift services as part of the M&E team, including feasibility, design, supervision and financial management
Co-ordination and management of lift services revenue and capital budgets.
Management of lift services contractors and for the compliance with statutory obligations
Management of communal TV services.
The development of good policy, practice, procedures and service planning for lift services, periodic testing and digital TV.
Attendance and participation in regular team and contractor meetings, some of which may be outside of normal working hours
Advising on investment priorities in the M&E Team and the wider Property and Investment Team
Leading and participating on projects, including the management of consultants when required.
Producing regular reports across the area of responsibility.
To carry out all duties under the CDM and other regulations.
Integrating customer care fully into the working practices of the team and the contractors' ways of working.

The successful candidate should have demonstrable experience within a similar role and will have preferably worked in a Local Authority or Housing Association setting.
