Job description: My client, a local authority based in West London is looking for a Lift Inspector to join their team. This is a full time, temporary ongoing contract and the successful candidate will have a full professional qualification and experience in a similar role.

The purpose of the role will be to work within a team, providing professional lift engineering service to maintain reliable and safe lift services.

Candidates must have a Driving License, a minimum of HNC/HND, NVQ Level 4 in a mechanical engineering discipline and an evidence of continued professional development is desirable. A relevant degree would be beneficial.

The role involves:

Preparing risk assessments.
Responsible for day to day management of the lift maintenance contract in ensuring that the requirements in the contract are being carried out to the highest standard in delivering a reliable and safe lift service.
Undertaking detailed investigations, make site visits, carry out surveys, and diagnose faults.
Writing specifications and schedule of works for lift repair works, refurbishment and replacement contracts.
Procurement and tendering requirements
Managing revenue and capital budgets, and approving costs from Contractors.
