Job description: LiveSmart Manager
A large housing association are recruiting for a LiveSmart Manager to manage one of their Housing Schemes in East London (E9) on a Part Time basis.

The Role
The scheme's purpose is to enhance the life experiences of the people we work with, to ensure that we provide a safe and secure environment, and to promote each individual's independence. The scheme is located within an existing active community and holds regular social activities.
*The focus of this role is to provide an intensive housing management and concierge service to meet the needs of residents living in retirement housing. You will be the first point of contact and manage access to the building for residents, contractors and visitors.
*This will include the following tasks and responsibilities:
*Support the maintenance and security of the buildings, monitor contracts and services and provide a focused service to residents living in retirement housing.
*Work with other housing teams, arrange viewings and enable residents to settle into the scheme.
*Report any safeguarding concerns as appropriate, and make referrals to other agencies where residents need additional support.
*Ensure all health & safety, safeguarding and fire management concerns are reported immediately, and monitored as required.
*Meet contractors on site and facilitate access to communal areas to carry out repairs, planned maintenance and servicing of facilities and plant equipment
*Allow access to utility companies for essential maintenance and servicing of equipment
*Monitor and advise tenants on the management of their rent accounts and arrears
*Carry out regular inspections of the building to identify and resolve repair, maintenance and security issues
*Carry out testing of communal emergency lighting and firefighting equipment in line with the associations health and safety processes
*Ensure that all actions identified in the fire risk assessment for the service are completed and access to the building is co-ordinated with the contractors

The Candidate
To be considered for the role you will require previous scheme management experience and you must also be able to drive, with access to a vehicle for work. Due to the vulnerable nature of the clients, you will be required to have an Enhanced DBS also.

The Contract
This is a Part time role, working 20 hours per week over 5 days. Start and finish time is flexible, but the days are set. The role is initially on a temporary three-month contract, but is covering the recruitment process for a permanent role, so there is a good chance the position could become permanent.
