Maintenance Manager - Hampshire

Job description: My client, a housing association based in Hampshire are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join their team. This is a full time, temporary role for an ongoing contract.

The main purpose of the role is to oversee the day to day delivery of all Property Service activities within an area, delivering repairs through a team of multi-skilled Trades persons.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for the on site management of all external contractors, delivering maintenance and/or specialist professional services to residents and customers, ensuring that this meets the clients customer service levels.

Some of the key responsibilities will be as follows;

Responsible for the leadership, management, coaching and development of a small team of directly employed operatives, delivering day to day repairs to Sovereign properties in their area.
Support the Operations Manager/ Head of Operations in the delivery of the local maintenance service and other property services to meet business wide objectives
Responsible for ensuring performance targets are achieved through management of the performance of the internal operatives and external contractors.
Responsible for the delivery of information and performance feedback to senior management, of all contract and supplier performance, quality audit results and stock condition information.
Responsible for the delivery of the stock condition and other related surveys, ensuring that Sovereign's central database is reflective of the actual stock condition across each 'patch'.
Responsible within an area for identifying properties requiring major repair, improvement or redevelopment to ensure that appropriate recommendations are made to Operations Manager/ Head of Operations so they can be included in Forward Maintenance Plan.

This position is for 37 hours per week and the successful candidate will have a relevant building/construction qualification along with experience in a similar position.
