Job description: We are looking to recruit a Service Manager in the Spares and Service Department covering the London area.

We are looking for an experienced Service Manager to join a well-respected company whom specialises in the design, supply and installation of commercial catering equipment, from the largest of prestige hotel projects to small restaurants and public sector cafes and snack bars.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Managing Director, your role will be to ensure that the department runs efficiently and provides a fast and efficient service facility for our clients, direct and monitor the performance of the service engineer and the internal administrative personnel and monitor the financial performance of the department.

Main duties will include:

*Allocate calls to in-house engineers, service sub-contractors or when necessary place warranty; calls with the appropriate equipment manufacturer.
*Monitor all calls to a successful completion;
*Where required, spare parts to be ordered from the manufacturer and issued to the engineer or alternatively supply from stock;
*Ensure that all customers to the trade counter are correctly welcomed and dealt with efficiently and courteously;
*Monitor stock holding of spare parts;
*Implement improvements within the service and spares department as appropriate;
*Carry out visits to existing clients to maintain and expand existing business;
*Develop new service and spare opportunities by means of advertising, marketing and client meetings;
*When necessary and appropriate recruit additional service engineers;
*Develop a nationwide network of sub-contract engineers for normal and out of hours service.
*Monitor service engineers and in-house personnel training requirements;
*Liaise with Projects Department and attend monthly project meetings.

Skills & Experience Required:



*Experience within a similar industry is essential.
*To be able to communicate at all levels within the business and with all Customers.
*To have a methodical approach and be able to resolve issues as and when these arise.
*Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own.
*A full driving licence.
