Job description: A local authority based in North London is looking for a Compliance, Mechanical & Electrical Manager to join their team. This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency role and the successful candidate must have extensive experience in a similar role, relevant professional qualifications (BEng, HNC/D, BTEC) and ideally experience in a local authority setting.

The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the delivery of all housing responsive repairs in relation to Statutory Compliance, Mechanical and Electrical works.

The main responsibilities associated with this role are as follows;

The efficient delivery of the Electrical & Mechanical responsive and cyclical maintenance with overall expenditure in the region of £2m-£3m
Servicing and responsive maintenance of all mechanical and electrical related attributes of the Council's domestic housing stock and associated commercial units including: Gas boiler & plant, communal plant, water treatment, electrical services, entry phones, security systems, fire alarms, emergency lighting, dry risers, lift maintenance, IRS and special needs adaptations.
Planned M&E works in conjunction with the programme delivery team as required
The delivery of lift maintenance through the use of specialist external consultants
Monitoring and managing staffing and associated overheads cost
Monitor and manage Mechanical and Electrical Contractors and make recommendations to the Property Services Manager - Responsive based on sound information and data
Monitor and manage budgets and service performance reporting as required.
To assist the Property Services Team in delivering the responsive and cyclical elements of the Repairs & Maintenance contract
Work with the Planned Team to develop planned programmes for major component replacement

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills/attributes;

A relevant minimum professional qualification e.g. BTEC or equivalent through training and experience
A track record at Manager Level of achieving customer centred outcomes, in an organisation dealing with large scale responsive and cyclical mechanical and electrical programmes.
Experience of delivering an intelligence based service and able to demonstrate and evidence the application of organisational learning
Experience of building, leading and motivating teams and acting in partnership with others as an enabler and advocate, and of successfully working with elected and/or Board Members.
Experience of managing and controlling Mechanical and Electrical programmes, and delivering successful outcomes from contract administration processes

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering up to £28 p/hour Umbrella Ltd (approx. £690 p/week after deductions) dependant on experience and qualifications.
