Job description: An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Medical Staffing team within an NHS Trust situated in Southend.
The Trust has implemented an integrated service for recruitment and the post holder will be required to ensure that both medical and general recruitment activities are given appropriate priority as well as managing recruitment activities associated with the Trust's internal bank.
The postholder will be expected to deliver a proactive service, providing advice and guidance to hiring managers, professional leads and other senior members of staff.
The postholder will deliver an efficient and effective resourcing service with a strong customer focus, working in partnership with the clinical and corporate directorates in order to identify and address resourcing issues.
Key Responsibilities:

To deliver the recruitment plans for the Trust, developing solutions for the current and near term resourcing needs of the Trust, taking into account the changing aims of the Trust's strategy.

To act as a subject matter expert for ensuring that recruitment within the Trust is managed within current legislation.

To provide consultancy advice to Clinical Directorate and Corporate Service boards and to plan, develop and execute recruitment campaigns. Advising and implementing best practice in relation to recruitment of permanent and temporary staff. This will ensure that effective processes are followed in line with legislation, Trust policy and NHS Employers guidelines.

Establish recruiting processes that support excellence in service delivery consistent with the espoused values and vision of the Trust, and support the establishment of the Trust as an employer of choice.

To work in partnership with the HR Business Partners to ensure that the resourcing impact of the strategic plans of the Directorates are understood and appropriate action taken to enable these plans to be delivered.

To support the rotation of doctors in training, including August induction, working in partnership with the Medical Education Manager, Medical HR Manager and other colleagues in HR to ensure that compliant rotas are maintained.

To manage the process for removals and relocation applications using an electronic database / spreadsheets.

Person Specification:

Experience of high volume recruitment and assessment in a demanding labour market
Experience of using IT applications to an advanced level
Experience of working at all levels of an organisation including those at Director level
Experience of active participation in meetings with representatives of external organisations
Understanding of the current government NHS policies and resulting change programmes affecting the workforce
Experience of managing a diverse workload and setting and achieving deadlines
