Job description: Amazing opportunity for Mental Health Nurses to join a brand new mixed gender NHS Acute ward opening in Summer 2019! Long term 6 month+ bookings, with flexible shift patterns required for a hospital based in Norwich.

Temporary pay rate Band 5:
*Days: £18ph
*Nights & Saturdays: £22ph
*Sundays & Bank Holidays: £26ph

Temporary pay rate Band 6:
*Days: £24ph
*Nights & Saturdays: £30ph
*Sundays & Bank Holidays: £36ph

Hours and length of contract:
*Full time or part time
*The wards operate 24/7 with a flexible shift pattern
* Shift times are:
oEarly: 06:30 to 14:30
oLate: 13:15 to 21:15
oNight: 20:30 to 07:00
oLong days: 06.30 - 21:15
*Initial 6 month contract (with likelihood of extension)
*The manager requires the position to be filled for start dates end of July/beginning of August


Daily Duties:
Based in central Norwich, the ward will be a 16 bedded unit for both males and females experiencing acute mental health problems. These service users are deemed to be experiencing acute mental illness and their risks cannot be managed safely in the community.
They ward will provide assessment and treatment services for acute mental disorders and rehabilitation including:
*Schizophrenia
*Depression
*Acute Anxiety
*Personality Disorder
*Bipolar Disorder
You will be working on the Acute Adult ward, to identify the most appropriate treatment and recovery plans and support service users through their journey to return back to the community.
Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team, team working skills are essential.

Person specification:
The applicant must be DBS cleared and have previous experience in the field.
